In October 2023, we welcomed Vintage Security into Guardian Protection and have been on an exciting journey since then, one that included providing you with our U.L.-certified 24-hour monitoring service.

What will change when my Vintage Security Services switch over to Guardian Protection?

Your home or business is already being monitored by our U.L.-certified Five Diamond-accredited 24-hour monitoring center. Rest assured that all of your security services will continue without interruption; any need for system care and on-site services will also continue to be fulfilled as usual. If you need anything, feel free to call us at 1.800.PROTECT (1.800.776.8328).

You will have access to an online account with Guardian Protection providing you with a convenient way to update your emergency contacts, manage your billing, test your alarm system, and much more. Now’s a great time to set up your online Guardian account.

Your current mobile app will continue to work but for the best experience, we strongly recommend that you download the Guardian Protection mobile app, also powered by Alarm.com but offering more features such as “My Account” – a fast way to link to your online Guardian account. Get Single Sign-On: set up your “My Account” link once you’ve logged into the Guardian app (see instructions here).  After logging into the app, click on “My Account” and sign-in using the same email and password you use for your online Guardian account.

Do I need to register to get access to my online Guardian account?

Yes! But no need to worry — we’ve made it super easy! Click here to get started. You can also get to your online account by visiting GuardianProtection.com and clicking “LOGIN” at the top right corner of the page. Next, choose “Not Registered?” to look up your account.

Once you register, you’ll get access to tons of important account information and services such as being able to chat with a live agent, manage payment options, see and shop for the latest new products, get answers to frequently asked technical questions, and more.  Accessing your online Guardian account is a timesaver! It’s a great way to manage all of your info online, in one place.

Using Your Online Account

How do I download the Guardian Protection mobile app?

Depending on the type of device you are using, you can download the app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by following the links below.

When logging in to the Guardian app, be sure to use the same Username and Password that you used with your Alarm.com app.  Once logged in, you will be prompted to set-up the Guardian app for initial use.

For the best app experience, we recommend enabling “Push Notifications”, “Critical Alerts” and “Location Services”Click here for a step-by-step guide on the initial login setup.

Alarm Monitoring Center

How do I know the monitoring center is calling me?

If your alarm goes off, our monitoring center will often call you and your emergency contacts to make sure you get the help you need. Depending upon the type of alarm, the monitoring center may ask for your Verbal Password. Learn more about why this is critical to your protection and the management of your account.

It’s very important that you know when we’re calling, so be sure to program our monitoring center number into your phone right away: 1.800.364.3616. If you have Caller I.D., this number will display as “GUARDIAN.”

This number will only be used by the monitoring center. For all other customer service questions, please call 1.800.PROTECT (1.800.776.8328).

Can I stop fire, police, or EMS from responding to my location?

If you accidentally set off your alarm, we understand that a response from the police, fire, or EMS authorities may be unnecessary. If this occurs and our monitoring team is unable to reach you prior to notifying the authorities, simply call 1.800.364.3616 to report an accidental alarm.

How will I receive important updates about my Guardian account?

You will always receive transactional communications related to your account, for example, billing, service appointments, and critical updates. Depending on the type of communication and your account setup, you will receive these via email or SMS (text).

You can update your email address and phone number and also arrange preferences for receiving and opting out of other types of communications. Go to your online Guardian account at https://customercare.guardianprotection.com/Account/CommunicationPreferences.

I currently receive a Vintage Security statement. How will my billing change?

Your regularly scheduled bills will be sent to you by Guardian Protection (look for the purple shield on your new statement!). Your future bills will continue to be sent on the first of each month, just as they were with Vintage.  All bills from April 1 and beyond will be accessible in your online Guardian account.

If you enrolled previously in Annual payments with Vintage Security and have paid into the future, we won’t bill until you after the period for which you already paid has ended.

Customers can view their statement online at any time by logging into your online Guardian account. Here you can also view additional information about your statement. Click “Billing”, and then click “Statements”. Your statements will begin to be archived in your online Guardian account as of the April 1, 2024 billing.  Previous Vintage statements will not appear.

If you are already enrolled in a Vintage automatic payment plan:

You don’t need to do anything. You will be automatically enrolled in Guardian’s AutoPay service and continue to enjoy the convenience of automatic payments.

Just as with Vintage Security, your account will be debited on the first of each month. You will not receive advance notice of the debit as you did previously, but on the first of each month you will receive notice that the debit has occurred and can review payment history in your online Guardian account. A paper statement will not be mailed.

If you currently receive a paper bill via the U.S. Postal Service:

Your new bill will be mailed on the first of the month with a due date of the 16th, following your established billing schedule. Please mail your payment to the new address: Guardian Protection | P.O. Box 37751 | Philadelphia, PA | 19101-5501. You will see the address in the bottom right corner of your statement.

Save a check and postage! Consider using your online Guardian account to pay your bill or, for even more convenience, sign up for AutoPay which includes an emailed summary of your account charges and payments.

Understanding Your Billing Statement

I mailed my last payment to the Vintage Security office. Will this payment be sent to Guardian?

If you mailed a previous payment to Vintage Security, rest assured, it will be forwarded to Guardian’s office. Please note, there may be a slightly longer processing time for this payment.

Can I set up automatic payments (AutoPay)?

You bet! We offer automatic recurring payments (AutoPay) to help you save time and money each month. You can enroll in AutoPay or manage your automatic payments by logging into your online Guardian account.

Can I mail in my payment?

If you would like to send your payment in the mail, please ensure your customer number is listed on your payment to ensure a proper payment application. Checks can be sent to the remittance address shown in the bottom right corner of side one of your billing statement.  You can save postage by instead making an online payment at any time here. Additionally, for your convenience, we offer several payment options, such as payment through secure text message, automatic payments (AutoPay) and more. Payments and payment method information can be managed anytime by logging into your online Guardian account.
