The following steps are taken when your fire alarm is triggered:
- Your monitored smoke detector detects smoke and sounds a loud alarm to alert you.
- Guardian’s monitoring center calls you, and you get a mobile alert to verify any threats.
- If a fire is confirmed or we can’t reach you, Guardian will contact the local fire department for help.
- Gather your family and leave the home quickly.
- Your local fire department will begin its response.
- If you are unreachable, Guardian will call the rest of your emergency contacts.
- Firefighters will arrive at your home to take care of any fires present.
