A professionally installed and monitored smoke detector works by identifying abnormal levels of smoke within range of the smoke detector. Upon activation, a signal will be sent to our monitoring team so that we can notify you and emergency services if needed.

The great news is that professional fire monitoring is included with every service plan, so if you're already a Guardian customer, all you need to do is to add one or more smoke detectors to your system. Stand-alone smoke detectors not monitored by Guardian Protection work the same way as our smoke alarms. However, if you’re not home when a fire occurs, no one will know there’s an emergency.
