Watch this helpful video or follow the steps below to replace the battery in an Interlogix Concord 4 Security Panel.
To Replace the Battery:
Please note: Your control panel box may be secured by lock and key or screws. You may need a screwdriver and a set of pliers to complete the replacement.
- You will see a flashing star icon indicating a system notification on your panel. Click the star key on the panel to see the notification. Remember: before replacing the battery, make sure your system is disarmed and placed in test mode with Guardian.
- Once you locate the control panel box, unlock or unscrew the box to access the battery.
- Disconnect the black wire by pulling the connector off of the negative battery terminal.
- Disconnect the red wire by pulling the connector off of the positive battery terminal.
- Remove the old battery from the control panel box.
- To ensure the system recognizes the new battery, please unplug the transformer typically located near the panel box. Your system will power down.
- Check the replacement battery for plastic terminal protectors and remove them.
- Place the new battery in the bottom of the panel box.
- Reconnect the red wire to the positive battery terminal.
- Reconnect the black wire to the negative battery terminal.
- Close and lock the panel door and plug in the system transformer.
- Return to your security panel and press 1 plus your four digit code followed by 1 and your four digit code again.
- It may take 24 hours for the battery to fully charge. Please remember to test your system before removing it from test mode.
