Need to change the battery on your smart garage door contact? Watch the video below for a few additional steps, and then you’re all set!

Follow these steps to replace your smart garage door contact’s battery:

  • Log in to your Guardian account.
  • Select System Info and then Test My System.
  • Enter your Verbal Alarm Password to put your system in Test Mode.
  • Remove the device’s cover by locating the tabs on the bottom of the device and inserting a screwdriver to wedge and twist the cover off.
  • Remove the batteries.
  • Put in the new batteries.
  • Place the cover back on the device.
  • Test your system to make sure your device is now working properly.
  • Remove your device from Test Mode.
