Need to change the battery on your Guardian 2GIG Security Panel? First, make sure your system is disarmed, and then place your system on test mode. Watch the video below for a few additional steps and then you’re all set!
To replace your panel’s battery, please follow these steps:
- Log in to your Guardian Protection account.
- Select System Info and then select Test My System.
- Disarm your system.
- Remove the Phillips-head locking screw at the top of the panel.
- Hold the panel with one hand and insert the screwdriver into the grooves at the left and right of the panel.
- Use the white plastic strap to hang the panel from the nob in the center of the mounting plate.
- Follow the wires leading from the battery pack to the white plug and disconnect it.
- Remove the battery pack.
- Replace the batteries.
- Reattach the white plug.
- The low battery notification on your panel should go away automatically.
- Swing the panel up and press it until it snaps securely into place.
- Replace the locking screw.
- Test your system to make sure it is working correctly.
- Take your system out of test mode.
