How to Turn on the Package Detection Feature on Your Video Doorbell Pro

If you have an important package on the way that you’re keeping an eye out for, your Video Doorbell Pro can make anticipating its arrival a whole lot easier. With the package detection feature on your Video Doorbell Pro, you can be notified the instant a package is delivered.

To set up notifications, follow the steps below when using a desktop:

1. Log into the Guardian Protection account.
2. Click Video.
3. Click Recording Rules.
4. Click  to edit the recording rule.
5. In Notification triggers:
   • Click the Package Delivery toggle switch to enable notifications when a person has left a package in the camera’s field of view.
   • Click the Package Retrieval toggle switch to enable notifications when a person has removed a package from a camera’s field of view.
6. Configure the recording rule as desired.
7. Click Save.

If you’re using our Guardian Protection mobile app to set up the package detection feature, use the steps below:

1. Log into the Customer app.
2. Tap Video.
3. Tap .
4. Tap Recording Rules.
5. Tap  to edit the desired recording rule.
6. In Notification triggers:
   • Tap the Package Delivery toggle switch to enable notifications when a person has left a package in the camera’s field of view.
   • Tap the Package Retrieval toggle switch to enable notifications when a person has removed a package from a camera’s field of view.
7. Configure the recording rule as desired.
8. Tap Save.

PLEASE NOTE: This feature is ONLY available for our Video Doorbell Pro device and is not yet available for our wireless video doorbell.
