A key fob may have two or four buttons programmed to help you control your system remotely. Typically, key fobs are programmed with arm, disarm, and panic buttons.
To activate your system using a key fob, press the desired button for 3-5 seconds. This will transmit the signal to your keypad.
If you subscribe to our smart home security services, you can arm, disarm, or manage your security system from your smartphone using the Guardian app.

The dimensions of the key fob are 2.3 x 1.3 x 0.5 inches.
The key fob is only effective when you are within range of your security panel. Though this differs depending on your home’s construction, most of our fobs have a range of 100 feet in open air.
Once the button is pressed, Guardian will be notified within seconds that help is needed. We will follow our standard procedures in getting you the help you need.
