Haven’t connected your Video Doorbell Pro yet? No problem. We’ve created a video with step-by-step instructions to walk you through the process of adding this device to your system.

  1. First, make sure you know your home wifi name and password.
  2. Then, swipe right on your panel’s home screen. If the wifi is not connected to your panel, press Connect and enter your four-digit code.
  3. Select your wifi network and enter your password.
  4. Once connected, you will see the word Connected under your wifi network name.
  5. Press and hold your doorbell’s button for approximately 75 seconds until the device flashes a red and green light. The light will then turn to a flashing white light.
  6. After it starts flashing white, open your Guardian app.
  7. Go to Add Device and choose Doorbell Camera.
  8. You will then see four options. Select the option that says ADC-VDB770. Then you will get a step-by-step instruction on your doorbell’s installation. Since you’re device is installed, you can swipe through most of these instructions.
  9. Then, on the Name Device screen, type in the device name you prefer.
  10. To connect your doorbell to your Guardian system, your wifi needs to be connected first. Make sure the ADC wifi option is selected through your phone’s wifi settings
  11. Return to the Guardian app and assign your wifi network to the video doorbell. When the doorbell is connected, it will flash green and then turn solid green.
  12. Select A for the mounting bracket that was used for your doorbell.
  13. Set your recording preferences, chime type, and push notifications to customize your device.

If your video doorbell was disconnected spontaneously, reconnecting your device is simple. However, please note that if the doorbell was disconnected due to a power outage, the device still requires working internet to operate.  

If your internet is working, please follow the steps below to reconnect your Video Doorbell Pro.

1. Press the doorbell button until you see a flashing white light. This should take about 45 to 60 seconds.

2. On your device, navigate to your Wi-Fi settings, then connect to the network labeled ADC-VDB770 (XX:YY:ZZ).

3. Open your device’s internet browser.

4. In the address bar, type http://vdb770install or 192.168.1.1.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions:

  • Scan for Wi-Fi networks and select your home’s Wi-Fi.
  • Enter the Password.
  • Tap Save.

6. Once your doorbell is solid green, it is reconnected.

Troubleshooting

  • You may need to turn off your device’s cellular data to connect the doorbell properly.
  • Please make sure you used the correct network password.
