Need to change the battery on your Neo Panel? Watch the video below for a few additional steps, and then you’re all set!
Follow these steps to replace your Neo Panel’s battery:
- Log in to your Guardian account.
- Select System Info and then Test My System.
- Enter your Verbal Alarm Password to put your system in Test Mode.
- Remove your AC Adaptor from its outlet.
- Locate and open your control panel. You may need to unscrew the panel or use a key to remove this. If you do not have the key, please contact us at 1.800.PROTECT for further assistance.
- Find the battery (usually located at the bottom of the panel).
- Disconnect the black wire connector from the negative battery terminal.
- Then, disconnect the red wire connector from the positive battery terminal.
- Replace the old battery with the new one, making sure to remove any plastic coverings that might be there.
- Connect the red wire to the red + terminal.
- Connect the black wire to the black – terminal of the battery.
- The system trouble signal should clear once the battery has had time to charge
- Replace the panel cover by screwing it back on or using your key.
- Plug the AD Adaptor back into the wall.
- Test your system before removing it from Test Mode.
