Need to change the battery on your Guardian Two Way Talking Touchscreen? First, make sure your system is disarmed, and then place your system on test mode. Watch the video below for a few additional steps and then you’re all set!
To replace your panel’s battery, please follow these steps:
- Log in to your Guardian Protection account.
- Select System Info and then select Test My System.
- Disarm your system.
- Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot at the bottom of the touchscreen.
- Press the tab until the unit unlatches from the mounting plate.
- Rotate the touchscreen up and away from the mounting plate carefully.
- Only remove the device far enough to gain access to the power cord plug.
- Remove the batteries.
- Replace the batteries.
- Swing the panel back down and lock it into place.
- Make sure the power cord is lined up with the groove of the touchscreen.
- Insert the top first and push in the bottom until the touchscreen clicks into place.
- Test your system to make sure it is working correctly.
- Take your system out of test mode.
