Need to change the battery on your Door/Window Sensor? Watch the video below for a few additional steps, and then you’re all set!
Follow these steps to replace your door/window sensor’s battery:
- Log in to your Guardian account and select System Info.
- Click Test System and type in your Verbal Alarm Password to put your device in Test Mode.
- Disarm your system.
- Locate the tab on the short side of the contact and insert a flathead screwdriver.
- Remove the cover (but do not force it open).
- Remove the battery and install its replacement.
- The cover should click into place when it is replaced and secured.
- Test the contact to ensure it is working properly by arming your system and triggering an alarm.
- Remove your system from Test Mode.
