If it’s time to change the batteries in your thermostat, follow the simple steps detailed below for either the Z-Wave Smart Thermostat or the CT100 Z-Wave Thermostat.
Z-Wave Smart Thermostat
- Press the Mode button to change your thermostat’s mode to Off. Then pull the device toward you to remove it from its mount.
- Turn the thermostat over to examine the batteries for any abnormalities. If there are none, remove the old batteries.
- Install the new batteries. Ensure the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols on the batteries match the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols inside the thermostat.
- Then, place the thermostat back on the mounting plate.
- Press the Mode button to return the thermostat to the preferred mode.
- Log in to your Guardian account via myguardianhome.com or launch the Guardian app. Select the desired temperature to ensure the target temperature is being displayed on the thermostat. Note: this may take a few minutes to appear.
CT100 Z-Wave Thermostat
- Change the heat/cool mode to off by pressing the Mode button. Then, change the fan to Auto by touching the touchscreen when the fan icon is displayed.
- Next, remove the bottom cover by pulling from one side at a time.
- Next, remove the existing batteries.
- Add the new batteries. Ensure the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols on the batteries match the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols inside the thermostat.
- Once the new batteries are installed, reattach the thermostat’s bottom cover.
- Change the heat/cool mode by pressing the mode button to select the desired mode.
- Log in to your Guardian account via myguardianhome.com or launch the Guardian app. Select the desired temperature to ensure the target temperature is being displayed on the thermostat. Note: this may take a few minutes to appear.
