Setting up mobile notifications is easy and allows you to always be aware of what is happening around your home. Depending on the notification sent through the Guardian Protection mobile app, you might want to either cancel or verify the messages you’re being sent by your home security system. Learn how to set up, cancel, or verify these notifications by following the steps and/or video below.
Set Up Push Notifications on App
- To set up push notifications, scroll down on your app and tap More.
- Select Notifications
- Turn on Push Notifications.
- Choose which notifications you would like to receive.
To Cancel or Verify an Alarm
- When an alarm goes off, you will see two buttons at the top of your Guardian Protection app: Cancel Alarm or Verify Alarm.
- We recommend that you quickly check your videos or images to verify your alarm before choosing the option that is right for you.
- To cancel an alarm, press and hold the Cancel Alarm button for three seconds. Also, keep in mind that this option only works for burglary alarms.
- To verify an alarm, press and hold the Verify Alarm button for three seconds.
- After you’ve made your choice, press Finished to confirm and return to the home page.
