Your system will not allow you to arm when you have trouble with a sensor in your home or when a door or window is open.
To bypass a sensor that is having issues or that you wish to leave open, please follow these steps when using the app:
- Log in to the Guardian Protection app.
- In the Security System section, tap the arrow in the upper right corner above the shield icon.
- Arming options can then be selected from the following:
- To select which sensors to bypass, tap Bypass Specific Sensors
- To bypass all sensors that would prevent the system from arming, tap Force Bypass
- Tap either Arm (Stay) or Arm (Away), depending on the type of arming command desired.
- If Bypass Specific Sensors was selected, tap to select which sensors to bypass and then tap Arm.
- When sensors are bypassed, the Security System card displays Sensors Bypassed.
If you are using a desktop view, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Guardian Protection account.
- Under the My System section, select Control Your Smart Home Devices.
- Log in to the new portal it takes you to.
- Find the section that says Panel. Select the linked icon in the upper left corner.
- Arming options can be selected from the following:
- To select which sensors to bypass, click Bypass Specific Sensors.
- To bypass all sensors that would prevent the system from arming, click Force Bypass
- Click either Stay or Away, depending on the type of arming command desired.
- If Bypass Specific Sensors was selected, click to select which sensors to bypass and then click Save.
- When sensors are bypassed, the Sensors and Recent Activity card displays the sensors as Bypassed.
