Smart arming is an easy way to control the arming and disarming of your security system without having to lift a finger. First, you will need to select which of your Guardian Protection motion detectors you want to be paired with your smart arming. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Open your Guardian Protection App
- Tap the three lines in the upper lefthand corner
- Tap on the Security System tab
- Tap on the Smart Arming Option
- Tap on the Included Sensors section at the bottom of the Wake Up or Goodnight tabs depending on which schedule you would like to set
- Tap on Included Sensors at the bottom of the screen
- Select the sensors you want to use to smart arm your system
- From this screen, you can also pair your door & window sensors to assist in smart arming your security system
After you’ve selected which devices you want to use, setting up your smart arming schedule is easy. To set up smart arming, follow the steps below:
- Open your Guardian Protection App
- Tap the three lines in the upper lefthand corner
- Tap on the Security System tab
- Tap on the Smart Arming Option
- To create a Smart Arming schedule that works with your morning routine, tap the Wake Up option and select the start and end times that you want your security system to be disarmed for. Your motion detectors will seek movement around these set times and disarm your security system when motion is detected in the morning.
- To create a schedule for when you want your security system to be armed in the evening, tap the Goodnight option and create a schedule that matches when you expect to be asleep. This will give you a window of time in the evening where a lack of movement sensed from your motion detector will arm your security system.
