Replacing an old Honeywell Door/Window Sensor that is no longer working with a new sensor is easy! Just follow the steps in the below video and you are all set.

To install your new sensor:

Before getting started, go to customercare.guardianprotection.com and log into your account. Select system info on the left-hand side and then select test my system. Follow the steps provided to put your system into test mode.

  1. Remove the sensor from the box.
  2. Place your sensor on a flat surface.
  3. Find the arrow indicating down to the indentation and carefully insert the flat head of your screwdriver into the indentation.
  4. Separate the cover from the sensor.
  5. Insert the flat head of the screwdriver into the bottom left of the sensor and push forward.
  6. Slide the back plate down to release it from the sensor.
  7. Go to your old sensor and repeat the same process while it is mounted.
  8. Once the old sensor is removed, insert the new battery into the new sensor.
  9. Place the new sensor on the mount in the sliding down positions.
  10. To activate your sensor, please email your name, address, and phone number to activate@GuardianProtection.com.
