Replacing an old Honeywell Door/Window Sensor that is no longer working with a new sensor is easy! Just follow the steps in the below video and you are all set.
To install your new sensor:
Before getting started, go to customercare.guardianprotection.com and log into your account. Select system info on the left-hand side and then select test my system. Follow the steps provided to put your system into test mode.
- Remove the sensor from the box.
- Place your sensor on a flat surface.
- Find the arrow indicating down to the indentation and carefully insert the flat head of your screwdriver into the indentation.
- Separate the cover from the sensor.
- Insert the flat head of the screwdriver into the bottom left of the sensor and push forward.
- Slide the back plate down to release it from the sensor.
- Go to your old sensor and repeat the same process while it is mounted.
- Once the old sensor is removed, insert the new battery into the new sensor.
- Place the new sensor on the mount in the sliding down positions.
