How to Replace the Battery for a Lynx Panel

Need to change the battery on your Guardian Lynx Panel? First, make sure your system is disarmed, and then place your system on test mode. Watch the video below for a few additional steps and then you’re all set!

To replace your panel’s battery, please follow these steps:

• Log in to your Guardian Protection account.
• Select System Info and then select Test My System.
• Disarm your system.
• Remove the AC Adaptor from the outlet.
• Insert a screwdriver at the top left and right of your panel to wedge it open.
• Pull the white connector from the battery panel.
• Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screw that secures the battery retainer.
• Remove the battery retainer.
• Replace the batteries. It will connect to either the two- or three-position connector.
• Reconnect the battery retainer.
• Swing the panel back up and lock it into place.
• Plug the AC Adaptor back into the lower plug outlet, screwing the screw back in.
• Test your system to make sure it is working correctly.
• Take your system out of test mode.
