Dear Frontline Workers:
No one understands the challenges of the prior year quite like you. Through the good, the bad, and the ugly, you’ve been on the front lines this entire time. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Frontline workers, you are simply amazing.
We’re talking to all of you. The health care workers, the firefighters, the police officers, the EMTs, the paramedics, the mail carriers, the grocery store workers, and many more — together, you kept the world going and did your jobs to the best of your abilities. Many of you did this all while managing an even bigger job, like Mom, Dad, and Part-Time Virtual Teacher.
You are expected to go out when everyone else is told to stay inside. You have worked so hard so the rest of us could be safe, fed, comfortable, and cared for. You hold the hands of the most vulnerable among us and offer kindness and comfort. For this, you deserve our gratitude and admiration.
Please accept this Valentine as a heartfelt thank you. Essential doesn’t even begin to cover it, and we couldn’t do what we do at Guardian without all of you. Frontline Workers, you’re our Favorites.
